MISS LISA
Loaded with options, well serviced, and largely cruised in the primarily fresh waters of the Northern Chesapeake Bay, this is the nicest example of Beneteau’s popular 50 Swift Trawler on the market today!
With impressive cruising range, massive interior volume, and rich in amenities, the Beneteau 50 Swift Trawler is perfect for long range cruising and extended stays aboard . With three well developed staterooms , an incredibly long salon and galley area , and tons of lazarette storage , the boat packs more into a 50’ platform than any other boat in it’s class. The boat is powered by Volvo IPS 600s , Volvo’s IPS system was released in 2006 and has proven to be the most reliable pod system in the market. The joystick empowers the captain to dock with surgical precision in areas where inboards engines would require much more expertise. IPS also lets the engine room be pushed further back in the boat, resulting in more living space and storage , which is apparent when considering the amount of interior volume in the 50 Swift Trawler.
The cockpit features L-shaped seating offset to the port side which gives plenty of open deck space for storage or entertaining large crowds. Access to the engine room is through a day hatch in the cockpit floor, while access to the lazarette is either through a watertight transom door , or cockpit hatch. The flybridge steps hinge to reveal a large locker perfect of fenders or other bulky items. The starboard side, cockpit docking station gives unparalleled visibility of the starboard side of the boat and is complete with ignition panel, joystick, and bow thruster control . The starboard walkway has a fiberglass door that can be closed for cockpit privacy when side boarding. Overhead, dimmable cockpit lights and courtesy lights make the cockpit a great entertaining platform.
The flybridge houses a center-line helm , giving the captain true command of the boat without favoring docking on one side or another. Dual companion seats swivel to face the U-shaped seating aft of the helm. A starboard bench seat allows the bridge to host a small crowd. The teak table folds out and slides to become the focal point of the forward bridge, with seating for eight. Upgraded Bose speakers and Fusion stereo keep passengers entertained. A wet bar with sink, grill, and refrigerator keep guests on the bridge as much as possible, giving them most everything they need, without having to go below deck. The aft bridge is a large blank canvas of open space that can be used for bulk storage on long trips, or floating furniture if more seating is needed. The flybridge hatch closes and is laid with nonskid to which expands the flybridge aft deck even further.
The foredeck is accessed either through the helm pantograph door , or covered walkways from the cockpit, keeping the captain and crew dry while docking or adjusting lines. A starboard side gunwale door makes boarding from a fixed pier safe and easy. Elevated gunwales keep passengers safe in all types of sea conditions and speeds. The windlass is elevated which not only eliminates any tripping hazard while walking on the foredeck, but also creates an extra deep storage compartment for fenders. Courtesy lights and a double-wide sunpad make the bow a comfortable area to relax and entertain.
The salon is entered from the cockpit via doors that can either open on the starboard or port side . Large windows flood the salon with natural light, all with curtains for privacy when desired. Both port and starboard windows slide open , giving plenty of natural airflow when temperatures allow. The L shaped sofa sits on the starboard side with a moveable, high-low table that can either function as a coffee or dining table, or be removed entirely. A large louvered chest of drawers flanks the sofa on the port side which houses an icemaker and high-low TV but keeps them hidden for clean sight lines.
A starboard side, U-shaped galley sits forward of the salon with upgraded stainless-steel drawer refrigerator and freezers flanked on the port side behind louvered cabinets. In keeping with the rest of the boat, the galley is practical and well equipped for long periods on board. An upgraded induction cooktop, microwave, separate oven, and double basin stainless steel sink give the chef all the comforts of home. Another wide sliding window opens above the sink to get cross ventilation flowing through the area. Cleverly, a large trash chute is emptied through a locker on the outside of the boat – a practical feature to keep the interior clean.
A settee is forward of the galley on the port side. Opposing facing, wide seats are to each side of a high gloss, high-low table . The area can convert to a berth to add a fourth sleeping area to the boat, making it comfortably capable of sleeping seven guests. Like the rest of the main deck, another large sliding window sits above the settee. This window, the other three on the main deck, and the helm door can all be opened when at anchor and AC is not needed, letting the generator catch a break.
The lower helm is opposite the settee on the starboard side with phenomenal visibility, a trait not often found at the lower helm of similarly sized boats. Between the visibility and a matching set of electronics between the lower and upper helm, the captains choice of helm stations is purely based on conditions and desires, not equipment or visibility. A large, sliding pantograph door opens aft, giving the captain excellent access to the helm from the side decks. This allows for great visibility when docking and easy communication with dockhands. Twin GS Raymarine chart plotters, auto pilot, sonar, and radar round out a full compliment of Raymarine electronics.
The aft master is full-beam, eliminating any hull slap noise and maximizing living space for the owners. Large hull side windows are grouped with opening portholes. Hanging closets are forward on either side, along with a split shower and head . The master shower is on the starboard side while the head is on the starboard side. However, both areas have mirrored, backlit medicine cabinets, under counter storage, and basin style sinks. The portside vanity is a perfect place to take advantage of the boat’s cell-based WiFi system and work remotely . Bose surround sound speakers and a TV allow the owners to unwind and relax in the privacy of their own stateroom, without utilizing the salon.
A large VIP stateroom sits forward with a center line berth . The wide beam of the boat is carried far forward in the stateroom which means the VIP berth is much more island-style than most boats of this size, making it easier to get around and make the bed. A large hanging closet is to the port side of the boat and a TV sits on the aft bulkhead, allowing guests to unwind and relax in privacy as well. The dayhead is accessed through the corridor, just aft of the VIP and stateroom and just forward of the guest stateroom.
Two bunks are housed in the guest stateroom . Like all other areas of the boat, opening portholes let fresh air and natural light into the living areas. A separate washer and dryer are stacked in the guest stateroom, cleverly not taking up storage in the master cabin, but still being close by for the owners use.
